Tools required

Step-by-step setup
-
Remove the packaging. Remove all protective packaging pieces and keep small parts away from children during assembly.
Warning: The bike must be assembled by an adult. - Position the main frame. Place the main frame upright on a clean, stable surface with the front opening facing forward.
- Attach the front wheel piece. Align the post on the front wheel piece with the opening at the front of the main frame. Push the post fully upward into the frame until the pieces are seated together.
-
Attach the handlebar. Align the handlebar piece with the exposed connector at the top of the front assembly. Press the handlebar down firmly until it clicks into place.
Important: Gently pull upward on the handlebar after installation to confirm it is locked securely to the frame. - Check the steering. Rotate the handlebar left and right. Confirm the handlebar is securely attached and that the front wheels turn at the same time as the handlebar.
-
Check the wheels. Confirm all four wheels are secured to the frame, rotate freely, and show no excessive wear or damage.
Safety: Complete the steering and wheel checks before every ride. Do not use the bike if any part is loose, worn, damaged, or missing. - Check the rider fit. With adult support, have the rider straddle the bike with both feet flat on the ground. Confirm there is 1 to 3 inches of clearance between the rider’s crotch and the top tube.
-
Practice moving. Seat the rider on the bike. While supervised, have them push both feet against the ground to move forward or backward.
Helpful tip: Start with short, slow movements so the rider can become comfortable with the low seat and stable four-wheel base. -
Practice turning. Show the rider how to rotate the handlebar gently to the left or right to steer. Keep the rider at a slow, controlled pace.
Warning: Allow only one rider at a time. Do not use the bike for racing, stunts, abrupt turns, high-speed riding, uneven terrain, slopes, roadways, or near motor vehicles.
Riding and caring for the bike
The Bounce Toddlers’ First Balance Bike is designed for supervised, low-speed riding on a smooth, flat surface:
- Move: While seated, the rider pushes their feet against the ground to travel forward or backward.
- Turn: The rider rotates the handlebar gently to the left or right.
- Stop: The rider places both feet securely on the ground and stops pushing.
- Clean: Carefully wipe the bike with a damp cloth, then dry it with a dry cloth. Do not apply water directly to the bike.
- Store: Keep the bike indoors in a dry place and cover it to protect it from dust.
Quick troubleshooting
If the front wheel piece will not fit into the frame: Check that all protective packaging has been removed, align the post straight with the frame opening, and press the piece fully upward into place.
If the handlebar will not click into place: Check the alignment of the handlebar connector, press the handlebar straight down, and confirm it is fully seated before use.
If the handlebar turns but the front wheels do not: Stop using the bike. Recheck that the handlebar and front wheel assembly are fully connected and secure. Contact Jetson Support if the steering still does not operate correctly.
If a wheel does not rotate freely or is damaged: Do not ride the bike. Check for visible debris, wear, or damage and contact Jetson Support for assistance.
