Welcome, and congratulations on your new Touk 2-Seat Bike Trailer. This guide walks you through assembling the trailer, attaching it to a compatible bike, securing child passengers, completing the pre-ride checks, and preparing for the first ride.
Things you need to know
Preparation
- Read the full user manual and all safety warnings before assembling or using the trailer.
- The rider of the tow bike must be at least 16 years old.
- The trailer is for 1 or 2 child passengers ages 1–6 years. Each passenger may weigh up to 50 lb, and the maximum combined load with 2 passengers and cargo is 100 lb.
- Each child must be able to sit upright without support and have enough neck strength to support their head.
- The rider and all child passengers must wear appropriate bicycle helmets.
- Use only with a compatible 2-wheel bike. The trailer fits most bikes with 14- to 29-inch wheels and either a quick-release skewer or a nutted rear axle. It is not compatible with bikes that use a thru axle.

Step-by-step setup
- Prepare the trailer for assembly. Clear a large work surface. Unpack all parts from inside the collapsed frame and remove all protective packaging, including the protective caps on the wheel axles. Do not use the trailer if any part is missing or damaged.

Open the trailer frame. Unfold the left and right sides of the frame. Raise the frame crossbar, slide the seat back over it, align the crossbar with the frame, and secure it with the attached crossbar locking pin.
Warning: Use caution around pinch points, and confirm the crossbar locking pin is fully engaged and secure before use. - Unfold and secure the tow bar. Release the tow bar locking pin from the storage position under the frame. Pivot the tow bar forward, align the holes in the tow bar and frame bracket, insert the locking pin, and engage it securely.

Attach the wheels. Release the axle locking pin on one side of the frame. Slide the matching wheel axle fully into the frame, insert the locking pin through the aligned holes, and engage it. Repeat on the other side, then check that both wheels are secure and spin freely.
Important: Both axle locking pins must be fully engaged before the trailer is used. - Attach the canopy. Position the canopy over the frame and secure it using the canopy’s attachment points and the four fabric fastening clips, with two clips on each side.

Assemble and install the safety flag. Connect the three flagpole sections. Insert the assembled flagpole through the support pocket and down into the base pocket on the trailer.
Safety: The safety flag must be installed and visible whenever the trailer is used. -
Inflate both tires to 36 PSI. Remove the dust cap from one tire valve. Use a manual air pump and periodically check the pressure with a gauge until the tire reaches 36 PSI. Replace the dust cap and repeat on the other tire.
Warning: Use only a manual air pump. Do not use an air compressor or inflate the tires above the rated pressure. -
Choose the correct coupler. Remove the pre-attached 15 mm coupler from the tow bar. Compare the included 13 mm and 15 mm couplers with the tow bike’s rear axle, and use the one that fits securely.
Helpful tip: For repeated use with the same tow bike, the coupler can remain installed on the bike’s rear axle when the trailer is disconnected. -
Attach the coupler to a bike with a quick-release skewer. Remove the rear-wheel quick-release skewer. Position the correct coupler on the left side of the rear axle, reinstall the skewer through the coupler and wheel components, close the skewer latch, tighten the adjusting nut, and confirm the rear wheel and coupler are secure.
Warning: The tension-adjusting nut must engage the threads for at least 5 full turns. If the skewer is too short, consult a professional bicycle mechanic for the appropriate parts and assistance. -
Or attach the coupler to a bike with a nutted rear axle. Use a wrench to remove the axle nut on the left side of the tow bike’s rear wheel. Position the correct coupler on the rear axle, reinstall the axle nut, tighten it with the wrench, and confirm the rear wheel and coupler are secure.
Warning: The axle nut must engage the threads for at least 5 full turns. If the axle is too short, do not use the coupler; consult a professional bicycle mechanic. - Connect the tow bar to the installed coupler. Slide the tow bar onto the coupler, align the holes, insert the coupler locking pin, and engage it securely.

Install the tow-bar safety strap. Route the safety strap around the tow bike frame, connect its hook to the safety-strap attachment loop on the tow bar, and confirm the strap is secure.
Safety: Always attach the tow-bar safety strap to the bike frame when pulling the trailer. - Confirm that the trailer does not interfere with the bike. Before loading passengers, make sure the trailer and attachment components do not interfere with the tow bike’s braking, pedaling, or steering.
Securing passengers and preparing to ride
- Position the passenger: When carrying one child, place the child in the right-hand seat in the direction of travel. When carrying two children, place one child in each seat.
- Fasten each 5-point harness: Bring the crotch strap between the child’s legs, position the buckle at the lap, place the child’s arms between the shoulder and waist straps, insert both buckle clips until they click, and adjust all straps for a snug fit.
- Close the weather shield: Unroll the front window and secure its hook-and-loop straps to the canopy. Keep the canopy attached and the weather shield down whenever the trailer is moving.
- Check the load: Do not exceed 50 lb per passenger or a total load of 100 lb with 2 passengers and cargo.
- Complete every pre-ride check: Confirm the wheels and locking pins are secure, both tires are at 36 PSI, the tow bar and coupler are secured, the safety strap is around the bike frame, the canopy and windows are closed, the flag and rear reflector are visible, and each child is secured in a 5-point harness.
Quick troubleshooting
If a wheel feels loose or does not spin freely: Stop using the trailer. Confirm the wheel axle is fully inserted and its locking pin is engaged. Check the wheel and tire for wear, cracks, damage, or obstruction.
If the tire pressure is low: Use a manual air pump and a pressure gauge to inflate the tire to 36 PSI. Do not use an air compressor.
If neither coupler fits securely: Do not attach or use the trailer. The included 13 mm or 15 mm coupler must fit securely around the tow bike’s axle, and the trailer cannot be used with a thru axle.
If the quick-release skewer or axle nut cannot engage at least 5 full turns: Do not ride. Consult a professional bicycle mechanic for the appropriate parts and assistance.
If the trailer affects braking, pedaling, or steering: Do not ride. Recheck the coupler, tow bar, safety strap, and all attachment components before use.
You are ready to ride
Your Touk 2-Seat Bike Trailer is assembled, securely attached, and ready for its first ride. Do not exceed 10 mph on smooth, straight roads or 5 mph while turning or riding on uneven surfaces. Allow extra braking distance, use a wide turning radius, avoid hazardous weather and obstacles, and pull completely off the road whenever you stop.
