Welcome, and congratulations on your new Dip Light-Up Gravity Board. This guide walks you through charging, recalibrating, checking the indicator lights, learning the riding controls, using the Bluetooth® speaker and lights, and taking the first ride.
Things you need to know
Preparation
- Read the full user manual and all safety warnings before the first ride.
- Adult supervision is required.
- Confirm the rider is at least 12 years old, weighs at least 100 lb, and weighs no more than 220 lb.
- Have the rider wear an ASTM F1492-approved helmet, protective gear, and closed-toe, flat shoes.
- Choose a smooth, flat riding area away from motor vehicles, water, sand, gravel, dirt, leaves, steep slopes, sharp bumps, drainage grates, and other hazards.

Tools and materials required
- No tools are required.
Step-by-step setup
- Inspect the gravity board. Remove all protective packaging. Check that the footpads, wheels, covers, guards, and other components are in place and in serviceable condition. Do not ride if any part is damaged.
-
Charge the battery. Open the charging-port cover. Plug the charger into a wall outlet, then connect the charger cord to the gravity board. The charger indicator is red while charging and green when charging is complete. A full charge takes about 5.5 hours.
Warning: Use only the included charger or the exact compatible charger specified in the manual. Never power on the gravity board while it is charging, and never leave it charging overnight or for an extended period. - Disconnect the charger. When the charger indicator turns green, disconnect the charger cord from the gravity board, unplug the charger from the wall outlet, and close the charging-port cover.
-
Recalibrate the gravity board. With the board powered off, place it on a flat surface and level the standing surface parallel to the ground. Press and hold the power button for about 8 seconds until a musical tune begins. Continue holding until you hear “calibration complete.” Release the button, hold it for 3 seconds to power off, then hold it for 1 second to turn the board back on.
Important: Recalibrate the gravity board straight out of the box. Do not lean on it or apply any weight during recalibration. - Check the status and battery lights. A steady blue status light means the board is ready. A flashing red status light means it must be recalibrated. The battery light is green at approximately 75–100%, orange at 30–74%, and red at 10–29%. If it flashes red or announces a low battery, stop riding and recharge the board.
-
Power on the gravity board. Place it on the ground and press and hold the power button for 1 second.
Warning: Never mount the gravity board while it is powered off. Its internal balance mechanisms only operate when the board is on. -
Mount the gravity board. Position the board on the ground in front of you. Place one foot in the center of the footpad in front of it, then quickly lift the other foot onto the other footpad and center your body weight. Stand straight with a slight bend in your knees.
Helpful tip: Practice with a spotter nearby in a wide, open area until mounting and balancing feel comfortable. - Practice moving forward and backward. Apply equal pressure to the front of both footpads with your toes to move forward. Apply equal pressure to the back of both footpads with your heels to move backward. Use small, controlled changes in foot pressure.
- Practice turning. To turn right, apply extra pressure to the front of the left footpad with your left toes. To turn left, apply extra pressure to the front of the right footpad with your right toes.
- Practice slowing down and stopping. While moving forward, ease the pressure on the front of the footpads. Bring your body weight over the center of both footpads to come to a complete stop.
-
Dismount safely. After the board stops, step off behind it one foot at a time.
Safety: Never dismount by stepping off in front of the gravity board. - Power off after riding. Press and hold the power button for 3 seconds. The board also turns off automatically after standing idle for 10 minutes.
Using the speaker and lights
The Dip Light-Up Gravity Board has a built-in Bluetooth® speaker and five lighting patterns:
- Connect a device: Power on the gravity board. Open the Bluetooth settings on the handheld device, find “AXIS,” and select it.
- Play music: Start audio in the preferred app. It will stream through the built-in speaker, and the board lights will automatically flash in sync with the music.
- Change the lighting pattern: Quickly press and release the gravity board’s power button for half a second to cycle to the next of five lighting patterns.
- Disconnect Bluetooth: Use the connected device’s Bluetooth settings or power off the gravity board.
Quick troubleshooting
If the board flashes red, beeps constantly, or the wheels spin: Power it off and complete the recalibration procedure on a flat, level surface. It may take more than one attempt to fully reset the internal balance mechanism.
If the board beeps while riding: Slow down and move to a smooth, flat surface. Confirm the rider is within the 100–220 lb weight range. If the motors were overworked, power off the board for 30 minutes to cool; repeat for another 30 minutes if needed.
If the board slows down or tilts upward: Check the battery light. Below 10% charge, the board automatically tilts up and slows down as a safety precaution. Stop riding and fully recharge it.
If the board will not power on: Fully recharge it. If the charger indicator does not illuminate correctly during charging, the charger may need replacement.
If the Bluetooth® speaker will not connect: Power the gravity board off and back on, restart the handheld device, and refresh the list of detected Bluetooth devices before selecting “AXIS” again.
You are ready to ride
Your Dip Light-Up Gravity Board is charged, recalibrated, and ready for supervised practice. Start on a smooth, flat surface, use small and controlled pressure changes, and complete the safety and indicator-light checks before every ride.
