Connecting to your Jetson's Bluetooth® speaker
If your Jetson has a built-in Bluetooth® speaker, you can stream music through it without having access to the app. Here's how:
- Power on your Jetson following the instructions in its user manual.
- In the settings section of your phone or handheld tablet, make sure Bluetooth® is enabled.
- In that Bluetooth® settings section of your phone, look for your Jetson product as a nearby device and select it. Ensure that the connection is established.
- Open your favorite music streaming app and press play on your favorite soundtrack. Pop on your helmet—then get out there and ride!
If you need to troubleshoot making the connection, we've got some quick tips to help get it working.
Changing speed
You can change the speed on your hoverboard by shifting your body weight while you ride. Once you get the hang of riding a hoverboard, you'll be able to fine-tune exactly how fast you go – no app required.
To go faster forward, shift your weight to the front and putting more pressure on the footpads in the direction you want to move. Shift to the back to pick up speed in reverse.
To slow down, bring more weight back to center by standing more upright.
Changing the look of the lights
Cool lights make for a cool ride. A lot of our hoverboards light up, and many have multiple lighting modes. For those, such as the Plasma X, changing the lights can be done with the push of a button on the board – no app required. Here's how:
- Power on your Jetson following the instructions in its user manual.
- Quick-press the power button to toggle to the next preprogrammed lighting modes. When you've landed on the one you like best, stop pressing, pop on your helmet, and go show off your moves.
If pressing the button does not change the look of the lights, your Jetson may only have one (very cool) lighting mode. And, if you can't get your lights to change – you'll still benefit from all the extra visibility those lights give you while you ride.
