Ride like the wind by locking cruise control in! Cruise control tells your motor to keep you moving at a steady pace, so all you have to do is steer—and bask in the glory of the ride.
An overview
Cruise control on e-scooters functions just as it does in a car. Here’s the overview:
- Find a flat, open road.
- Use the scooter’s accelerator throttle to reach the speed at which you’d like to ride for an extended period of time.
- Keep the throttle position steady for a designated amount of time. (That amount of time depends on which Jetson e-scooter you have; we’ll get to that next.) After that, cruise control will lock in.
- Release the throttle, keep your eyes on the road, and enjoy the ride!
- When you want to take speed control back in your own hands, deactivate it by using the brake or engaging the throttle.
Model-specific details
Below is a list of the Jetson e-scooters that have cruise control functionality with details on how to activate it on each one.
- Canyon, Eris, Racer & Rhythm - Hold the thumb throttle still so that the scooter cruises at a steady speed for 9 seconds. A beep will indicate that cruise control has activated.
- Element - Hold the thumb throttle still so that the scooter cruises at a steady speed for 6 seconds. (If cruise control is not engaging, you may need to first turn it on in the settings section of the LCD screen. Refer to section 1.5 of the user manual.)
- Knight - Hold the thumb throttle still so that the scooter cruises at a steady speed for 5 seconds. A beep will indicate that cruise control has activated.
- Quest - Hold the thumb throttle still so that the scooter cruises at a steady speed for at least 7 seconds.
- Ora Pro - Hold the thumb throttle still so that the scooter cruises at a steady speed for 7 to 8 seconds—until a beeping sound indicates that cruise control has activated. A clock icon will pop up on the LCD display while the scooter is in cruise control mode.
- Breeze and Breeze Light - Hold the thumb throttle still so that the scooter cruises at a steady speed for 10 seconds. (If cruise control is not engaging on the Breeze Light, you may need to first turn it on in the settings section of the LCD screen. Refer to page 18 of the user manual.)
